Richard Patrick Honecker, Jr., age 55, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2026, following his battle with cancer. Richard was born on December 29, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Richard Honecker, Sr. and Jacqueline Honecker.
Throughout his career, Richard showcased his many talents—working for a commissary company, providing security for local clubs, crafting as a sandblast engraver, and driving as a regional tanker transport operator. Away from work, he loved music of all kinds, playing guitar, and gathering for games of cards, dominoes, or billiards. Always quick with a quirky observation or funny remark, Richard brought humor to every situation. His jovial nature made every gathering more fun, and his unforgettable quick wit is something everyone will always remember about him.
A man of the Catholic faith, Richard will be remembered for the life he shared with those closest to him and for the many memories created throughout his 55 years.
Richard leaves behind his parents, Richard Honecker, Sr. and Jacqueline Honecker; his siblings, Melody Holly, Andrew Honecker, and Bridget Honecker; his niece, Macy Sandoval; and his nephews, Max Holly and Grady Honecker. He is also lovingly remembered by his three great-nieces and one great-nephew, along with extended family members and dear friends who were fortunate to know him. A private graveside memorial service will be held at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Granbury, Texas, where family will gather to honor Richard’s life and say their final goodbyes.
Richard Patrick “Bubba” Honecker, Jr. leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him. His love of music, the sound of a guitar, a friendly game of cards or dominoes, and the moments of laughter shared together will serve as lasting reminders of a life that will not be forgotten.

I am so sorry for y'all's loss. I know I haven't seen any of y'all in along. I know we lost touch especially after Bret and I divorced but, I am here for y'all if you need anything. I remember when he used to call my oldest daughter is little girl friend. He will really be missed.
