Lisa Dawn Wilhelmi

Lisa Dawn Wilhelmi, age 58, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Lisa was born on August 30, 1968, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Timothy Wilhelmi and Sandra Wooderson. She attended Crowley High School and later completed her certification as a dental assistant. She went on to work as a dental assistant, a career that reflected her natural compassion and desire to care for others.

Lisa was a true free spirit with an artistic soul and a deeply compassionate heart. She was an artist and writer who found beauty and meaning in the world around her. Some of her happiest moments were spent outdoors, especially hiking along the river with her beloved dogs.

Animals held an especially important place in Lisa’s heart. She devoted much of herself to rescuing and fostering dogs and advocating for animals in need. She believed every animal deserved love, kindness, and the opportunity to find a safe and loving forever home. Her dedication to animal rescue and animal rights was a reflection of the generosity and compassion with which she lived her life.

Lisa’s greatest foundation was her faith in Jesus Christ. She loved Jesus deeply and was never afraid to share His love with others. Throughout her life, she touched hundreds of people with her faith, kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Even during times when she had very little herself, Lisa found a way to give to others.

Her faith and service were reflected through her involvement with Iron Horse Ministry, Cowboy Church, and Countryside Baptist Church. She had a special ability to make people feel cared for and reminded those around her of the simple but powerful message, “Jesus loves you.” She also made sure the people closest to her knew, “I love you.”

Lisa is lovingly remembered by her Mother Sandra Wooderson and Father Timothy Wilhelmi and Stepdad Randell Wooderson and siblings, Shane Wilhelmi, Heidi Howard, Michelle Hatcher, and Erik Wallgren, as well as her numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended Family, friends, fellow believers, and the many people whose lives she touched. She also leaves behind a legacy of compassion through the countless animals she rescued, fostered, protected, and loved.

Lisa’s life was not measured by what she possessed, but by what she gave: her faith, her creativity, her compassion, her generosity, and her love. She cared deeply for people and animals alike and continually reached out to those who needed encouragement, kindness, or a helping hand.

Although Lisa’s earthly journey has ended, the love and faith she shared will continue through the lives of those who knew her. Her free spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for Jesus will not be forgotten.
