In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Humphries Rich March 7, 1945 – August 7, 2026

Jacqueline Humphries Rich, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Jacqueline was born on March 7, 1945, in Kermit, Texas. She was the daughter of James Earl Humphries and Ellen Evelyn McCain Humphries. Jackie met the love of her life, Gerald, while working at the local drug store soda shop in Kermit, Texas. They married on September 18, 1963, and began their life together. They raised two wonderful sons, Gerald and Randy. Jackie’s life was richly blessed by her loving family, her passion for genealogy and crocheting, her enjoyment of card games and her steadfast devotion to her church.

Jackie was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Gerald Dean Rich, her brother James Earl Humphries Jr., and her sisters, Juanita Humphries Wofford and Josephine Humphries Arnold. She is survived by her sister Jeraldine Humphries Hibbler; brother Jonathan Wayne Humphries; her children, Gerald Dean Rich II (Sheri); Randy Rich (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Rendell Rich (Laura), Emily Villavicencio (Antonio), Trey Rich, and Megan Rich; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Hunter, Brielle, Connor, and Evelyn. A celebration of her life and internment will be held at Grape Creek Cemetery in Navarro County, Texas on September 18, 2026 at 10:30 am. The family of Jacqueline Humphries Rich is deeply grateful to God for her life, and for the love, friendship, and prayers shared by so many.
