Stefanie Kay Sloan
December 22, 1973 – October 19, 2026 Aged 52 years
Stefanie Kay Sloan, 52, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on October 19, 2026, at Graham Oaks in Graham, Texas, following a battle with cancer.
Born on December 22, 1973, in Martinsville, Indiana, Stefanie was the daughter of James L. Baker and Sheryl Vernice Miles. She demonstrated determination and perseverance throughout her life, proudly earning her high school diploma through an online program in 2022.
For more than 30 years, Stefanie served others as a certified nursing assistant. An exceptionally hard worker, she was passionate about caring for the elderly and devoted herself to bringing comfort and kindness to those in her care. Her generous spirit extended beyond her work; she loved her family and friends deeply and often placed the needs of others before her own.
Stefanie enjoyed making crafts, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to old country music. She was also an enthusiastic Chewbacca fan. A wonderful cook, she welcomed visitors with something to eat and made those around her feel cared for. Above all, Stefanie loved and adored her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
After moving from Indianapolis, Indiana, to Breckenridge, Stefanie attended Victory Life Church and participated in an in-home Bible study with her neighbors, finding fellowship and connection in her community.
She is survived by her father, James L. Baker; her son, James Allen Fox, and his wife, Debra; her daughter, Casey Dawn Fox; her cherished grandchildren, Madison, Brooklyn, Erika, Kiyana, and Leon; and her sisters, Stacey McKenzie, Rachel Bird, and Megan Fojo.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheryl Vernice Miles.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Stefanie will be remembered for her compassionate heart, tireless dedication to others, and deep love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
