David Wayne Noonkester

David Wayne Noonkester, of Lipan, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 8, 2026. David was born on April 12, 1966, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Arlene Noonkester and Hershel Noonkester. He grew up in the Lipan community and attended Lipan School. Throughout his working years, David was a hardworking and dedicated man. He worked for the city and also spent time working as a truck driver and laborer. His strong work ethic was an important part of the life he built for himself and his family.

When he wasn’t working, David enjoyed fishing and spending time doing the things that brought him peace and happiness. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he was involved with his church community. His children, Kevin Noonkester, Autumm Noonkester and Rachell Ortiz and his siblings, Joel Noonkester, Ellen Gaston, and Shella Elston. He also leaves behind his loving wife, Debra Noonkester; family members, friends, and loved ones who will continue to cherish the memories they shared with him.

David will be remembered for the life he lived, the work he accomplished, his love of fishing, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on through all those whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life honoring David will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Baptist Church. Additional service details will be shared with family and friends as they become available. May David’s family find comfort in the many memories they shared with him and in knowing that his life will be lovingly remembered.
